Privacy Policy
1. Data We Collect
- Account data — name, email address, Microsoft tenant ID (for SSO users).
- Workbook context — sheet names, row/column counts, and data types extracted by the add-in. Raw cell values are not sent to our servers unless required for AI analysis.
- Usage events — API calls, generation runs, and quota consumption for billing and abuse prevention.
- Log data — IP addresses, browser type, and request metadata for security monitoring.
2. How We Use Data
We use collected data to: provide and improve the Service; enforce our Terms of Service; send transactional emails (OTP codes, invoices); and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
3. AI Processing
Workbook context sent for AI analysis is processed by our LLM providers (Anthropic Claude, Azure OpenAI). Data is not used to train third-party models. You can use your own API keys to keep data within your cloud tenant.
4. Data Retention
Account data is retained for the lifetime of your account plus 90 days after deletion. Workbook contexts are retained until you delete them or close your account. Usage logs are retained for 12 months.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Submit requests to privacy@excelfyio.com. We respond within 30 days.
6. Cookies
We use a single session cookie (basefyio_token) strictly necessary to maintain authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
